The Navagraha temples are a group of nine (NAVA) temples, which are located within a 60 kilometre radius around Kumbakonam in Tanjavhur district in Tamil Nadu.
Alangudi : Guru Temple/ Jupiter
Alangudi or Guru Sthalam or Tiru Irum Poolai is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in the village of Alangudi in the Valangaiman taluk of Tiruvarur district, Tamil Nadu, India. Shiva is worshipped as Apathsahyesvarar, and is represented by the lingam. His consort Parvati is depicted as Tribuvananayagi. The presiding deity is revered in the 7th century Tamil Saiva canonical work, the Tevaram, written by Tamil saint poets known as the Nayanmars and classified as Paadal Petra Sthalam.
The temple complex covers two acres and it houses a two tier gateway tower known as gopurams, one facing the Apathsaheswarar shrine and other towards North. The temple has a number of shrines, with those of Apathsaheswarar and his consort Elavarkuzhali being the most prominent.

The Brahmotsavam festival celebrated during Chittirai (April–May) is the most prominent festival.
The original complex is believed to have been built by Cholas, while the present masonry structure was built during the Nayak during the 16th century.

Thingalur : Chandiran Temple / Moon
Kailasanthar Temple is located only 18 km away from Kumbakonam and this temple is located in Thingalur. This temple is dedicated to Chandra Dev. The most important thing about this temple is that Shiva is also Lord Shiva, and this Shivalinga is called Yehapar Kailasantar and together with his wife Devi Periyanakimman, both are also worshiped in this temple.
It is said that Chandra Dev had the liberation water from the curse of Brahma deva, that is why he received the austerity of Lord Shiva and received the blessings of Lord Shiva. That is why those devotees come to the temple to see God in the temple, which is the salvation water from Chandra defect.

Vaitheeswaran Koil : Shevvai Temple / Mars
Vathyashwar Kole Temple is a temple of Mars and this temple is also in Tamil Nadu. Mars is also called Kuja and Savvai. This temple is also called some Pulilirukkuvalur temple. Like other temples of NavGharas, the main deity of this temple is Lord Shiva and they are called all Vaidyanathswami and Mother Parvati is called Thaalyayaki.
In this temple Lord Shiva is worshiped as a Vaidya, who treats all diseases. This temple has a statue made of bronze from Mangal Dev and all devotees worship Mangal Dev so that they get rid of all the diseases. On Tuesday, the idol of Mangal Dev was pulled out and his big journey was taken away and all worshiped him.
